“She Rides Shotgun” (2025) is the new drama starring Golden Globe Nominee Taron Egerton. Lionsgate has just released the first trailer, just one month ahead of its theatrical premiere.
About to be released from prison, Nate McClusky makes a grave mistake—and he and his family are sentenced to death. The order comes from Crazy Craig, leader of the Aryan Steel crime syndicate, from the maximum-security cell where he's serving life. It's an inescapable decree, as every white supremacist in California answers to Aryan Steel, which is in a bloody turf war with Mexican cartels for control of the state's drug trade. Just hours after being released, Nate steals a car and—for the first time in his life—goes to pick up his daughter from school. Although Polly McClusky doesn't know it yet, her mother has already been murdered, and her father is coming to save her. At eleven years old, Polly is shy, whip-smart, and barely knows Nate—but together, they hit the road across a barren California.
The cast also includes Ana Sophia Heger, Rob Yang, Odessa A’zion, and John Carroll Lynch, with direction by Nick Rowland. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Jordan Harper, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Ben Collins, Luke Piotrowski, and Nick Rowland himself.
